This is completely off-topic from my normal posts, but a good friend and her family are in a rough spot and could use all the help and support they can get right now. If you’d like to read more about her story, go here.

Welcome to my One Crayon Color Challenge submission. I apologize for how short this is, but I’m really sick. As you can see, my color was blue. I would have liked to take more pictures, but I didn’t have the chance to, so I just wanted to make sure I at least had my submission up. For this particular bracelet, I used blue goldstone for the focal. For the rest I used a combination of Chinese turquoise, dark blue sodalite, blue agate, lapis lazuli, freshwater pearls, and blue magnesite.

I had so much fun yesterday participating in the Messy Workshop Blog Hop put on by B’sue (of B’sue Boutiques). This was my very first blog hop and I am definitely hooked and cannot wait to participate in another! Unfortunately, due to frequent stops to get one of my kids a glass of chocolate milk, a snack, let the dog out, and eventually meeting up with a friend, I wasn’t able to visit everyone’s page. Today, I am determined to continue making my way through the list. Armed with my favorite coffee cup filled to the brim with steaming hot coffee, I continue my trek.

Welcome to B’sue’s (of B’sue Boutiques) Messy Workshop Blog Hop!
So, here it is, the chaos that is my workspace. Usually, it is in some state of disarray, but four times a year, my college textbooks get added to the mix. Add to it having three kids ages five, four, and two and, well…you can see where this is going.

I do try to keep somewhat organized, as you can see, there are storage containers that house my beads, findings, stringing material, wire, tools, etc. Buried under my books is my laptop I use when I’m on the go working on photography. My kids’ Nintendo DS Lites seem to have found a resting space on top of my hot laminator. I’m guessing they thought that was a great spot for them. Under the pile of paper from all the IEP meetings I’ve been attending for my oldest, is my beading tray with several projects in various stages of doneness. I also have a lot of my finished pieces packed away in the clear organizer under my husband’s camera bag that seems to have found a home in my work area. Believe it or not, just a couple weeks ago the entire workspace was well organized and without the madness you see now.
So, what comes from all of this? Here are a few examples:
